Job Description:

The role of an OpenShift Administrator involves designing, deploying and maintaining a robust, scalable and secure internal Kubernetes/Container platform to support the deployment, scaling and management of containerized applications.

  • Develop automation scripts, tools and documentation to streamline deployment and management processes.
  • Ensure platform stability and performance by proactively monitoring system metrics, troubleshooting issues and optimizing resources.
  • Implement observability solutions such as monitoring, logging and tracing tools to gain valuable insights into platform performance and application behavior.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams to improve their application deployment and management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Developers, Architects, Project Managers to ensure that solutions are delivered on time and meet business requirements.
Requirements:
  • At least 7+ years of experience in OpenShift Engineering including some public cloud experience.
  • Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE or a similar role.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, concepts and components, with hands-on experience in building and managing Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
  • Proficiency in a procedural or scripting programming language.
  • Experienced with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery principles.
  • Experience designing and deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
