Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and test equipment, including SDH, Submarine DWDM, and power feeding systems, adhering to preventive maintenance schedules and protocols.
  • Minimize Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) by implementing corrective maintenance processes and collaborating with IT teams for efficient complaint handling.
  • Ensure compliance and operational discipline by following established O&M processes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Effectively manage inventory and spares for transmission equipment, power systems, land/power cables, and accessories.
  • Conduct routine circuit testing and coordinate handovers to backhaul/ITMC teams.
  • Perform regular inspections of land cable routes from the Landing Station to the beach manhole.
  • Maintain and calibrate all test and landing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of connectivity, port utilization, and fiber mapping.
Decision-Making Roles:
  • Primarily responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of CLS equipment and land cables.
  • Shared responsibility with ITMC/NOC for circuit delivery coordination and support in corrective maintenance interventions.
  • Contributory input into network optimization and process improvements.
Essential Competencies:
  • Sound understanding of SDH and Submarine DWDM systems.
  • Knowledge of submarine cable network infrastructure and operations.
