Key Responsibilities
  • To drive end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring through the digital journey of a portfolio of personal loans.
  • Responsible for formulating and implementing policies for underwriting, including developing solutions for credit underwriting based on different product constructs.
  • Closely collaborate with the Data Science team to analyze underwriting models prepared by them and validate their performance on the current portfolio.
  • Determine performance benchmarks and identify courses of action in case of breaches.
  • Achieve automation of credit policies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness.
  • Develop the right pricing basis segmentation.
  • Standardize policies and processes.

 

Performance Monitoring:

  • Conduct portfolio analysis and recommend policy changes to the Policy Head based on the outcome of the analysis.
  • Carry out periodic credit reviews of existing portfolios and conduct various analyses to identify high-risk segments.
  • Take actions to mitigate identified risks based on portfolio performance.
  • Monitor delinquent accounts to ensure achievement of company standards/benchmark for delinquency.
  • Identify technological solutions to improve existing processes and overall portfolio management functions.
  • Analyze various MIS to monitor portfolio performance and risk.

 

New Partner Integrations
  • Understand products being offered by new channel partners and the segments being catered to.
  • Understand the journey, identify the set of information available with the channel partner, and requisition the set of data to be provided at time of application.
  • Create policies based on the product, available information, and prevailing models.
  • Facilitate data room exercises for new segments of customers.
  • Formulate policies keeping expected loss rates in consideration.
  • Monitor implementation of policies, UAT, and production test runs of policies, and clear bottlenecks if any.

 

Relationship Management

Manage relations with partners, credit reporting agencies, and assist in all credit operations.

 

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualification: Postgraduate in Finance/Statistics/Management from A institutes.
  • Preferred Qualifications: BTech with MBA.

 

Work Experience
  • Minimum 7 years with 3–4 years in risk management and policy creation.
  • Should have a fair understanding of risk performance.
  • Should have very good communication skills.
  • Superior stakeholder management skills – Work closely and align with each of the internal functions which includes business development, credit, and policy, data science, legal, technology, operations, collections, customer success teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience working on large structured and unstructured datasets using different data processing and statistical tools is a must.
  • Data-driven, analytical approach, team player.
