Game Economy Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Game Economy Specialist to craft engaging and rewarding gaming experiences for players worldwide.

You will be responsible for designing and managing in-game economies, ensuring an optimal balance between player experience and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop compelling economy models for our games.
  • Create and balance in-app currencies, progression curves, reward structures, and monetization systems.
  • Analyze data to forecast behavioral trends and evaluate the impact of new features.
  • Continuously iterate on game economy design based on performance metrics to enhance player satisfaction and engagement.
  • Design and plan economy-driven live events and promotions (e.g., sales, challenges, time-limited events).
  • Conduct A/B tests for pricing strategies, rewards, and progression tuning to optimize key performance indicators related to revenue, engagement, and retention.
  • Prepare detailed economy specifications, balancing sheets, and documentation for cross-functional teams and collaborate with them as they implement it.
  • Implement systems to prevent exploits, control inflation, and maintain long-term economic stability.
  • Maintain consistent economic balance and fairness across platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in game economy design, preferably in Social Casino games.
  • In-depth understanding of free-to-play economy design, monetization strategies, and player psychology.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, or other statistical tools for analytical modeling.
  • Experience working closely with developers, product managers, and analysts.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Passion for gaming and a good understanding of the gaming industry.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, or Engineering.
