Job Title: Planning Engineer

The role involves overseeing the planning, scheduling and monitoring of a project on a regular basis through weekly and monthly progress reports based on inputs from the Head of Engineering.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create plans for resource allocation, taking into account material requirements, labor needs, and construction timelines.
  • Develop detailed schedules for each stage of the project, incorporating critical path analysis to ensure timely completion.
  • Establish effective communication channels with internal departments, ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement activities in line with established budget parameters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and finance, to guarantee alignment of estimates with project objectives.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with 5 years of experience in estimation for high-rise residential projects.
  • Proven expertise in construction methodologies, materials, and market rates.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and MS Excel, with hands-on experience in data analysis and visualization.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Prior experience with MS Projects/Farvision will be considered an asset.
