Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead our Taxation function.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multi-state GST and Income Tax compliance, with a strong track record of delivering results under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax compliances, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders and adherence to taxation laws.
  • Lead periodic tax workings, including GST ITC and TDS validation, and monitor progress regularly.
  • Identify and address tax-related issues promptly, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Resolve tax-related queries from vendors and customers efficiently, fostering strong relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date with ERP system workings, API integrations, Excel automations, and Macros, leveraging technical expertise to drive process improvements.

Tax Reporting

  • Oversee tax GLs/balances in Books, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation.
  • Monitor MIS reports, group requirements, and projected tax cash outflows, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Reconcile Form 26AS with Receivables, resolving discrepancies and avoiding disallowances of TDS Credit.
  • Identify areas for automation, implementing efficient controls and optimizing workflows.

Tax Representation

  • Lead GST audits and representations before authorities, navigating complex regulatory landscapes effectively.
  • Facilitate tax reconciliations, manage assessments/scrutiny, and compile documentation for appellate/litigation purposes.
  • Drive process improvements through automation and efficiency gains, enhancing team productivity.
  • Advise cross-functional teams on statutory compliances and control design, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Liaise with internal/external stakeholders to compile information required for submission, streamlining the process.

Essential Experience/Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years' experience in multi-state GST and Income Tax compliance, driving business growth through strategic tax planning.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, adapting to changing regulatory requirements and priorities.
  • Strong result orientation, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, with a proactive approach to identifying changes impacting the organization.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across various states for representation before tax authorities, showcasing dedication to excellence.
  • Proactive, focused, and self-motivated individual with strong prioritization skills, driving team success.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, fostering strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
