Job Opportunity: Insurance Claim Settlement Professional
Role Overview:
- Claims Management:
- Process and manage insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner.
- Analysis and Insights:
- Analyse data to inform fair and efficient claim resolutions, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Claim Validation and Investigation:
- Conduct thorough investigations, gathering relevant data and collaborating with adjusters and experts to verify claim validity.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Keep policyholders informed on claim status and provide clarity on coverage decisions.
- Settlement Negotiation:
- Negotiate settlement amounts, ensuring fairness, adherence to policy limits, and legal standards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of claims processing activities, including assessments and investigation reports.
- Fraud Detection:
- Identify and flag potential fraudulent claims, working with the fraud investigation team when necessary.
- Compliance:
- Ensure all claims adhere to regulatory requirements, industry guidelines, and legal standards.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the legal team on disputed claims or cases involving litigation.
- Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing claim-related inquiries and resolving disputes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce claims processing time.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to analyse complex claims data for fair settlement decisions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail with excellent organisational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously.
