Role Overview:

  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Keep policyholders informed on claim status and provide clarity on coverage decisions.
  • Settlement Negotiation:
  • Negotiate settlement amounts, ensuring fairness, adherence to policy limits, and legal standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of claims processing activities, including assessments and investigation reports.
  • Fraud Detection:
  • Identify and flag potential fraudulent claims, working with the fraud investigation team when necessary.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure all claims adhere to regulatory requirements, industry guidelines, and legal standards.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with the legal team on disputed claims or cases involving litigation.
  • Customer Service:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing claim-related inquiries and resolving disputes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce claims processing time.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims processes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex claims data for fair settlement decisions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail with excellent organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously.
