Accounts Payable Expert

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Payable Specialist with experience in U.S.-based accounting to manage accounts payable for a portfolio of U.S. real estate properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Invoices: Accurately process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations.
  • Manage Vendors: Onboard, update, and resolve issues related to vendors.
  • Reconcile Statements: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close, accruals, and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with property managers, vendors, and internal teams for invoice coding and approvals.
  • Prepare Payments: Prepare payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Track Payment Schedules: Monitor cash flow and track payment schedules.
  • Contribute to Process Improvement: Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving processes in accounts payable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably with U.S.-based accounting exposure.
  • Real Estate Experience: Experience in the U.S. real estate sector is highly valued.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; Yardi experience is preferred.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations related to AP.
  • Excel Skills: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
