AI Scientist

The Cognizant AI Labs aim to advance scientific innovation and bridge the gap between research and commercial applications. We collaborate with institutions, academia, and technology partners to develop groundbreaking AI solutions responsibly.

We seek a passionate and driven AI scientist to join our Advanced AI R&D lab team in India. You will work with the Advanced AI Labs research team to develop novel approaches to solving fundamental scientific problems and challenges from real-world applications.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting advanced research in AI/ML, Generative AI, and adjacent fields to solve complex business and societal problems.
  • Designing, developing, and optimizing models and algorithms involving novel architecture and training methodologies.
  • Publishing research findings in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with product teams, AI engineers, and domain SMEs to transition research prototypes into production-ready solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in Computer Science or another technical field, or exceptional bachelor's or master's degree candidates.
  • Theoretical and hands-on experience with Large Language Models.
  • 2 years of experience with multi-agents.
  • 5+ years of experience in AI or ML research.
  • Publications at venues such as IEEE, ICLR, NeurIPS, GECCO, ALife, AAAI, IJCAI, ICML.
  • Strong implementation skills.
  • Strong development and debugging skills in Python.
  • Experience with AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Keras, Scikit-Learn.
