Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled data scientist to take on the challenge of designing, training, and deploying recommendation algorithms using machine learning fundamentals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ML, with experience in collaborative filtering, matrix factorization, and sequence models. They will also be proficient in Python, with skills in NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and JAX. Additionally, they will have expertise in A/B testing design, statistical significance, confidence intervals, and bias correction.

The selected candidate will work closely with the engineering team to ensure models are production-ready, scalable, and low-latency. They will also drive innovation in personalization strategies, providing technical leadership and code reviews to other scientists.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics).
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience in data science, with startup experience preferred.
  • Experience with big data tools such as Spark, Trino, Presto, Hadoop, BigQuery, and Redshift is a plus.
