Product Owner Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Product Owner to join our team. As a key member of the Scrum team, you will be responsible for owning, maintaining, and prioritizing the product backlog.

You will work closely with the Business Owner, Product Manager, and Scrum Master to ensure the team delivers value to the business.

The successful candidate will define solutions for required product features, eliciting and documenting requirements, performing impact analysis, and designing the user interface.

They should be a self-starter with strong presentation skills, analytical skills, and a passion for improving consumer experiences using technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accountable for the product backlog and prioritization of user stories with team members.
  2. Create business user stories.
  3. Practical understanding of Scrum principles and practices.
  4. Partner with Scrum master's in supporting Scrum Framework.
  5. Shares and decomposes Features into user stories (non-technical).
  6. Develop a deep understanding of the customer and product needs.
  7. Recognized voice of the business to the team.
  8. Works closely with Product Manager to represent capabilities and features at team level.
  9. Business requirements are represented in the product backlog.
  10. Ensures traceability between requirements to Features to user stories.
  11. Review of test cases against user stories acceptance criteria.
  12. Periodically re-prioritize the Product Backlog based on customer feedback, market changes, and business priority as communicated by the Product Manager.
  13. Formally accepts the user stories once all acceptance criteria are met and demo-ed.
  14. Ability to produce basic UML diagrams (use case, activity, etc.).
  15. Ability to produce low-fidelity wireframes to help communicate the intended workflow and potential screen layout (new page/concept).
  16. Tracks and manages key KPIs, escalating appropriately as needed.
