Senior Membership Professional

This role involves undertaking tasks related to membership compliance within an exchange and collaborating with the team to achieve a seamless work environment.

  • Oversee activities linked to new membership applications, ongoing membership compliance, and termination of memberships.
  • Verify membership documents, including legal papers such as agreements, indemnities, guarantees, etc., in relation to new membership applications, name changes of member entities, constitution changes, directorship updates, scrutiny of annual returns, and half-yearly submissions (including audited financial statements).
  • Respond to various queries from members seeking clarifications on membership rules and regulations. Provide details/data to other departments/senior management concerning membership matters.

Preparation of notes for approval at suitable levels regarding changes in membership status, e.g., change in shareholding/promoter holding pattern, etc.

Performing any other assigned activity.

Educational Qualification

  • Postgraduate degree in Chartered Accountancy (CA), Chartered Secretarial (CS), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from a reputable institution/university.

Experience

  • Freshers or 1-2 years of experience in securities/capital markets, financial services, mutual funds, or insurance companies.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to share knowledge and develop best practices across teams.
  • Meet company and national regulatory standards.
  • Understanding of annual returns, balance sheet items, and L.C. Gupta method of net worth computation can be an added advantage.

Functional Competencies Required

  • MS Office skills, especially proficiency in Excel.

Behavioral Skills Required

  • Self-motivated and able to collaborate with large groups both within and outside the organization.
