Software Test Engineer Position

Job Overview:

A skilled Software Test Engineer is required to manage and execute project plans, ensuring software quality practices, and overseeing the development of new test frameworks and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute project plans, deliver commitments within a professional, high-paced engineering environment, and drive improvements in software quality practices.
  • Interface with internal/external customers to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate direction and progress.
  • Oversee and direct the development of new test frameworks and applications to ensure the implementation of manual and automated test solutions.
  • Contribute to test process, tools, and methodologies, including both manual as well as automated test execution.
  • Interpret requirements for testability and ensure coverage in test case design.
  • Present test plan to leads and product owner for approval prior to execution.
  • Work closely with the scrum team to drive, implement, and maintain tests in an agile environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly within engineering teams developing software delivering full systems.
  • 5+ years of proven work experience in software testing / quality assurance with web-based applications, mobile applications, and client-server applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Hands-on experience in manual API testing.
  • Experience in automation testing using Selenium or similar frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills.
