Quality Assurance Inspector for Coatings

As a quality-focused organization, we require an experienced QA/QC Coating Inspector to oversee coating applications and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of coating processes to guarantee adherence to established protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, project specifications, and coating standards to ensure seamless execution.
  • Perform precision inspections, including thickness measurements and adhesion tests on coated surfaces, to verify quality excellence.
  • Accurately document inspection findings and prepare comprehensive reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients regarding quality assurance matters.
  • Verify that all coating materials and processes meet stringent quality requirements.
  • Participate in quality audits and contribute to identifying areas for improvement within the coating process.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in coating inspection or quality control in relevant industries such as oil & gas, marine, or construction.
  • Certifications like NACE Coating Inspector, SSPC Coating Inspector, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of coating materials, application techniques, and inspection methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment like dry film thickness gauges, holiday detectors, and adhesion testers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate seamless collaboration with project stakeholders.
