">The Senior Director, E-commerce Strategy will be responsible for driving the full P&L for their geography, setting ambitious revenue, margin, and customer acquisition cost (CAC) targets. They will craft and execute a holistic growth strategy across direct-to-consumer (D2C), marketplaces, offline, and emerging channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecast demand and manage end-to-end inventory to ensure stock-outs are minimal and ageing stock is optimized.
- Define product-market fit, localize hero SKUs, craft new-product roadmaps, and sunset low-return-on-investment (ROI) lines.
- Collaborate with Research and Development (R&D) to adapt formulations for regional regulations and sensorial preferences.
- Orchestrate 360° marketing—performance, influencer, customer relationship management (CRM), public relations (PR)—allocating budgets for maximum return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Establish data pipelines and dashboards to track cohorts, repeat rates, marketplace rankings in real-time.
- Negotiate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), payment partners, and duty consultants to optimize landed costs and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Recruit, mentor, and performance-manage cross-functional teams (growth, operations, customer success, retail, trade).
- Champion customer obsession, mining voice-of-customer (VOC) insights to feed product updates and customer experience enhancements.
- Drive strategic partnerships—wellness chains, tourism boards, Ayurveda clinics—to amplify reach.
- Ensure legal and tax compliance, including cosmetics claims, import duties, and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)-like mandates.
- Present quarterly business reviews to Global Leadership, highlighting wins, risks, and next bets.
- Deploy test-and-learn culture, running A/B tests on funnels, creatives, bundles, and pricing levers.
- Set up disaster-recovery and continuity plans for supply, logistics, ads, and key seller accounts.
- Benchmark competition, delivering actionable intelligence on pricing, share-of-voice, and shelf velocity.
- Act as the brand's cultural ambassador, embodying its ethos while driving high-performance execution.
Qualifications:
- Tier 1 colleges only.
- 10 to 17 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Retail industry (FMCG, Retail, Ecommerce).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Strong analytical, data, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use information for reporting.
- Drive and manage own tasks effectively, working independently and being an effective contributor to the team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through.
- Extremely organized with superior time management skills, able to multi-task and prioritize under tight schedules while maintaining production of high-quality work.
- Self-accountability to follow-through with proper consistent updates to stakeholders.
- Proficiency with project-based tools such as Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
