Kafka Administration Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Kafka administrator to deploy and manage production-grade clusters.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and upgrade high-availability Kafka clusters using tools like Ansible and Chef.
  • Automate cluster installation and configuration to ensure seamless performance.
  • Troubleshoot critical issues, optimizing Kafka efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Implement MirrorMaker for effective data replication between data centers.
  • Manage Provectus Kafka UI on a Kubernetes cluster for real-time monitoring.
  • Integrate Schema Registry and deploy multiple Kafka Connectors for streamlined data flow.
  • Configure ACL permissions, create topics, and implement end-to-end security with SSL/TLS.
  • Design and optimize Kafka infrastructure for improved message processing.
  • Conduct performance testing to enhance partitioning, replication, and retention policies.
  • Integrate Kafka with ELK Stack and Solr for scalable data storage.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Required Skills:

Kafka, Kafka Streams, MirrorMaker, Schema Registry, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Monitoring & Logging, Programming & Scripting, Shell Scripting.

Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in Kafka administration.
