Overview of a Strategic Fabric Architect

This role involves designing and implementing scalable analytics platforms in the Microsoft ecosystem. It is a remote position where you'll define architecture, guide implementation, and enable data teams to deliver insights faster with enterprise-grade governance.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and analytics solutions in Microsoft Fabric.
  • Building and optimizing data pipelines, transformations, and storage using Dataflows, Pipelines, Spark, and Delta Lake.
  • Translating business needs into technical solutions and driving ingestion-to-insight workflows.
  • Establishing CI/CD and IaC practices with Azure DevOps, ARM, or Terraform.
  • Ensuring governance, security, and compliance through Purview integration.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Fabric workloads.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 8–12 years in data engineering, architecture, or analytics.
  • 2–3 years hands-on with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, or PySpark.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Azure services.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools (ARM/Terraform) and data governance practices.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications such as Azure Certified: Data Engineer Associate are also desirable.
