Job Description:

The Deputy General Manager Finishing will oversee the finishing operations of a fabric mill, managing large teams and driving process improvements to optimize efficiency and quality.

They will lead day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and customer delivery commitments. Additionally, they will monitor machine utilization and efficiency, implement best practices for process consistency and product reliability, and drive initiatives to reduce defects and waste.

This role also involves process improvement and innovation, introducing new finishing techniques and technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Furthermore, the Deputy General Manager will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintain standards in line with customer audits and certifications, and enforce strict adherence to EHS guidelines within the finishing operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Production Management is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in fabric finishing, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role in a reputable fabric/textile mill.
