A Senior AWS Redshift Database Administrator will oversee the management of Redshift clusters, provide support for AWS services, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure seamless data delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage scalable AWS cloud environments and applications for efficient data organization.
- Install and maintain software, services, and applications by identifying system requirements and implementing upgrades.
- Extensive experience with database platforms, including AWS Redshift, RDS, MySQL, and Snowflake is essential.
- Maintain a stable environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring system performance in real-time.
- Knowledge of daily database operations, deployments, and development processes is crucial.
- Proficiency in Snowflake is required.
- Strong understanding of SQL and Performance tuning principles is necessary.
- Experience with Linux Shell Scripting or Python is preferred.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Troubleshoot system hardware, software, and operating system issues promptly.
- Implement incident and change management procedures effectively.
- Manage release cycles and code deployments efficiently.
- Provide after-hours on-call support as needed.
- Test disaster recovery policies and procedures, complete regular backups, and maintain accurate documentation.
