Senior AWS Data Engineer Role

As a seasoned data engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end data pipelines on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable data solutions that meet analytics and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end data pipelines using services like Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Amazon Redshift.
  • Data Processing and Transformation: Implement workflows using Apache Spark and SQL to support analytics and reporting requirements.
  • Orchestration and Scheduling: Build and maintain orchestration workflows to automate data pipeline execution, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders, and other team members to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Optimization and Cost Management: Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging AWS best practices and cloud-native technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience building and deploying large-scale data processing pipelines in production environments.
  • AWS Expertise: Hands-on experience in designing and building data pipelines on AWS cloud infrastructure, including proficiency in AWS services like Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Amazon Redshift.
  • Apache Spark: Strong experience with Apache Spark for data processing and analytics.
  • Orchestration and Scheduling: Hands-on experience with orchestrating and scheduling data pipelines using AppFlow, Event Bridge, and Lambda.
  • Data Modeling and Database Design: Solid understanding of data modeling, database design principles, and SQL and Spark SQL.
