About the Role

This position is a key contributor to our project delivery team, working under the supervision of senior or project engineers. The main functions include:

  • Preparing feasibility study reports in agreed formats and reviewing them with Local CRC Heads.
  • Collaborating with WSP SG Team to assemble design specifications compliant with employer requirements, agreeing on format and content, and monitoring its preparation for timely delivery.
  • Agreeing and monitoring scope of works with Local iCRC Heads of Structures.
  • Closely defining building requirements and purpose of use with Local iCRC Heads and WSP SG Team to facilitate detailed designs.
  • Conducting detailed designs according to WSP and B Regulations standards, ensuring CDM, QA, and technical reviews and sign-offs by Local iCRC Heads, including complex calculations and coordination issues.
  • Reviewing and monitoring production of calculations, including QA, technical reviews, and sign-offs.
  • Ensuring that information for project costing preparations is completed accurately and within deadlines, keeping the WSP SG Team informed about design progress through explanations of design decisions.
  • Providing documentary information via WSP SG Team to assist in tender document preparation, ensuring that information for tender preparation is completed accurately and within deadlines, and keeping the WSP SG Team informed about design progress through explanations of design decisions.
  • Coordinating project contract documents (drawings and specifications) and reviewing input from team members.
  • Addressing day-to-day queries from the WSP SG Team, ensuring relevant information is available on time for construction activities.
  • Reporting variances between constructed works and design intent to WSP SG Team and Local iCRC Heads.
  • Project managing commissions from WSP SG Team using applicable project management tools.
  • Leading the design process and encouraging the team to deliver appropriate and cost-effective solutions within agreed programs.
  • Fully following document control, archiving CDM, and QA processes related to project work, ensuring drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence are issued and filed appropriately, coaching junior staff in their usage.
  • Technical and Project Management.
  • Raising technical competence levels within teams.
  • Implementing delivery and quality measurement processes.
  • Promoting technical excellence across all projects.
  • Undertaking technical reviews and contributing to concept designs.
  • Providing continuous feedback to Local Head of iCRC on effectiveness of protocols and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Developing positive professional relationships with WSP SG Team, communicating openly about project progress.
  • Participating in team meetings, disseminating information within the team, and communicating with other teams in WSP.
  • Identifying and acting upon or referring potential risk issues, fully following company commercial and contracting processes.
  • Managing delegated tasks to ensure deadlines are met, flagging resourcing concerns to team leaders.
  • Identifying and flagging additional fees/scope agreed to Local iCRC Heads.
  • Accurately completing timesheets ahead of weekly deadlines.
