Unix Administrator Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Unix/Linux systems professional to join our organization. As a Unix administrator, you will be responsible for the planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Unix/Linux systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational and troubleshooting knowledge of Unix/Linux variants is essential.
  • You should have experience with clustering technologies such as MC ServiceGuard/SUN Cluster/Veritas Cluster.
  • Patch installation and management expertise is necessary.
  • Server hardening hands-on experience is also required.
  • You should have a basic understanding of architectural design in related technology and hardware.
  • Practical experience in server management, backups, and enterprise server management tools is crucial.
  • Solid knowledge of networking (configuration and maintenance) is also important.
  • You must have the ability to mount/unmount physical hardware.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with HA-Proxy and Hypervisor Management (RHEV/VMware/etc.) is an advantage.
  • Experience working in large enterprise or data center environments is desirable.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing tools is also beneficial.

Requirements:

  • A graduate/postgraduate degree in Computer Science, IT, ECE, or equivalent recognized by the government is mandatory.
