Job Description:

As a senior software engineer, you will be responsible for crafting, developing, maintaining, and supporting DTCC's core clearing and settlement business applications. Your primary responsibilities will include leading technical processes and designs, collaborating with infrastructure partners, defining scalability and performance criteria, ensuring application meets performance, privacy, and security requirements, and implementing technology-specific best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of related experience in software development using design patterns, Java, TypeScript, Java EE, Spring Boot, Angular 8+, JMS, REST API, PL/SQL, Python, and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying scalable solutions in Kubernetes/docker containers, with expertise in middleware like IBM MQ, Solace, Tomcat, Liberty server, WebSphere, WebLogic, or JBoss application servers.
  • Familiarity working with relational databases including DB2 or Oracle, and proficiency in different phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka (or Confluent Kafka), Kafka APIs, and tooling (e.g., Kafka Connect, KStreams, KSQL).
  • Strong ability to gather and analyze requirements, write unit test scenarios, and implement code quality and reliability.
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
