Structural Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to utilize their expertise in structural design and construction documentation.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create high-quality 3D models that meet industry standards and best practices.
  • Annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings according to established guidelines.
  • Manage the BIM workflow, including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.
  • Maintain structural BIM/CAD files for use in structural design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting).
  • Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modeling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.
  • Utilize tools such as Navisworks for project collaboration across multiple disciplines.
  • Prepare and review project deliverables for client submissions.
  • Generate 3D views or renderings as needed for marketing or project use.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 0-3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit software.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software.
  • Strong understanding of building construction.
  • Ability to think in 3D.
  • Ability to draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineer.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player.
