As a Business Development Executive at Unacademy, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expansion within the EdTech industry. Your primary responsibility will be to generate leads, build partnerships, increase student enrollments, and identify new revenue opportunities.

Sales & Revenue Growth

The ideal candidate will develop and execute business strategies to enhance student enrollment and revenue generation. This includes identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, such as B2C (students) and B2B (corporate training, educational institutions, schools, and universities). Achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets is also crucial.

Lead Generation & Client Acquisition

You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with prospective students, parents, corporate clients, and educational institutions. This involves conducting outreach via cold calling, email marketing, social media, and networking events. Additionally, you will work closely with digital marketing and inside sales teams to convert leads into paying customers.

Strategic Partnerships & Market Expansion

The successful candidate will identify and collaborate with coaching institutes, tuition centers, schools, and corporate learning teams to enhance brand visibility. Developing partnerships with industry leaders, influencers, and other stakeholders is essential to drive business growth.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback is vital to refine sales strategies. Analyzing sales data and generating reports to track business performance is also an essential aspect of this role.

Collaboration & Team Leadership

You will coordinate with the product, marketing, and operations teams to align business goals. Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of business development executives to maximize productivity is also a key responsibility.

To excel in this role, you should possess strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are also necessary. Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and digital sales tools is expected. Prior experience in education sales, EdTech, or corporate training is highly desirable.

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field is required. 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnership management is preferred. Experience in EdTech, education sales, or B2B partnerships is advantageous.
