Job Opportunity: Programme Manager - Nutrition

This role is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to join our organization and contribute to the development of nutrition-focused proposals and grants. Reporting to the Head – Nutrition, the Programme Manager – Nutrition (PMN) will be responsible for leading the development, evaluation, and management of these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of nutrition-specific concepts and proposals that align with our thematic strategy and grantmaking goals;
  • Evaluate relevant concepts and proposals for grantmaking, undertaking budget assessments as necessary;
  • Organize sectoral meetings, roundtables, consultations, and workshops to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing;
  • Support team members in desk reviews of strategies and action plans, conducting research and assessing needs on the ground;
  • Manage, monitor, and supervise programs and initiatives from start to finish, ensuring adherence to processes and best practices;
  • Foster relationships with grantees and partners, facilitating timely grant reports and fund disbursals;
  • Identify learnings and lessons from projects and develop knowledge products to inform future initiatives;
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Applicants must possess a PhD or Master's degree in Public Health Nutrition, Food and Nutrition Sciences, Community Health, Global Health, Public Health, or related disciplines.

A minimum of five to ten years of experience in public health nutrition, program development, research, and policy is required. Prior experience in philanthropy and grantmaking is an asset.

The ideal candidate will have skills in proposal development, assessment, and budget reviews, as well as experience in organizing small to mid-size consultations.

Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and strategic thinking skills are essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
