Job Title: Ruby on Rails Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will focus on coding, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality software development that aligns with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, efficient, and reusable code.
  • Own critical modules and implement back-end APIs.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain software to ensure smooth performance.
  • Resolve production issues as per defined SLAs.
  • Participate in technical discussions and provide guidance to team members.
  • Conduct code reviews and offer support in hiring processes.
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and customer support teams.
  • Participate in API integration discussions and architecture decisions.

Responsibilities in Detail:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain scalable code that supports dynamic client loads.
  • Ensure seamless integration with external services and third-party programs.
  • Review and optimize code performance.
  • Implement and maintain unit testing processes.
  • Monitor systems and document development phases, ensuring smooth deployments.
  • Ensure application security by adhering to data protection best practices.
  • Gather user feedback to continuously improve the product.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in software engineering, with at least 1 year in production with Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong understanding of MVC, ORM, and RESTful concepts.
  • Familiarity with RSpec, Sidekiq, Redis, and server-side templating languages like SLIM and CSS preprocessors like SASS.
  • Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux environments (Bash, ZSH).
  • Strong database skills with PostgreSQL, MySQL and experience in benchmarking and optimization.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience integrating third-party software and payment gateways.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like React JS or Angular JS.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

Other Qualities:

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive problem-solver.
  • Previous experience working at a B2B SaaS company is a plus.
