About the Position
We are building a recombinant protein production platform using insects as biofactories. This platform offers significantly lower costs and faster timelines compared to conventional cell-culture systems.
The Opportunity
This is a unique role that blends Business Development and Marketing in one. You will be the face of our recombinant protein portfolio, helping researchers, diagnostics companies, and biotech startups access high-quality, affordable proteins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, approach, and convert customers in Research Labs, Diagnostics, and Biotech R&D.
- Drive academic reagent sales with incubators and research institutes.
- Build relationships with diagnostic companies for assay proteins and control reagents.
- Partner with biotech startups for custom constructs and rapid prototyping needs.
- Create and execute marketing campaigns: scientific content, digital outreach, conferences, and webinars.
- Manage proposals, quotations, and negotiations with a focus on ROI.
- Maintain pipeline and forecasts using CRM tools.
- Act as the bridge between customers and our R&D team for feedback-driven innovation.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in life sciences BD/marketing (reagents, CRO/CDMO, diagnostics, life-science tools).
- Education: Bachelor's in Biotech, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology. MBA/PGDM is a plus.
- Strong scientific understanding and the ability to engage researchers and biotech founders.
- Hands-on with sales/marketing tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and CRM software equivalents.
- Comfortable in a startup-like environment where you build markets from scratch.
