Job Overview

This role leads a team of data professionals responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of accounting and finance platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of operational practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of engineers and operations staff, providing coaching, feedback, and career development support.
  • Delivery Oversight: Ensure project deliverables and operational commitments are met on time, with high quality and compliance.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the smooth running of accounting and finance platforms, ensuring adherence to service level agreements for availability, reliability, and data accuracy.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Ensure effective resolution of incidents; coordinate root cause analysis and track corrective actions.
  • Process Adherence: Ensure the team follows established engineering, SRE, and operational best practices (code reviews, change management, monitoring, compliance).
  • Resource Allocation: Assign work across the team, balancing project and operational demands.
  • Reporting: Track and report on team progress, system performance, and operational metrics to senior leadership.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation, tooling improvements, and efficiency gains.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7-10 years of experience in technology roles, with 2–3 years in people management of engineering or operations teams.
  • Experience managing delivery of technical projects or supporting mission-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with financial systems, accounting platforms, or financial data pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of operational practices including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Solid communication and organizational skills with the ability to partner with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
