Job Description

The primary role of an electrical engineer involves designing electrical systems and equipment that provide a safe and reliable environment. Key responsibilities include developing electrical designs for various systems, advising clients on requirements, conducting site visits to ensure compliance, and performing independent design calculations.

Responsibilities
  • Electrical Design: Develops comprehensive electrical designs for power distribution, motor control centers, lighting, and grounding systems.
  • Client Advisory: Provides expert guidance to clients on electrical system requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Installation Monitoring: Conducts thorough site visits to verify that installed equipment meets design specifications.
  • Fault Studies: Conducts detailed fault studies, arch flash analysis, harmonic analysis, motor starting analysis, and load flow analysis to identify potential issues.
  • Design Calculations: Performs accurate and independent design calculations for electrical equipment including transformers, DG sets, cables, lighting, grounding, AC/DC UPS, NGR, and capacitor sizing.
Qualifications
  • Certifications/Skills: Possesses in-depth knowledge of applicable standards and codes, including NFPA 70 (NEC), 70E, 75, 101, 780, and other relevant sections.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), SPELL, ETAP/SKM, Dialux/Visual, and Strong computer skills.
Experience
  • Education: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.
  • Experience: 8 years of experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems.

This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to develop and lead electrical master plans for facilities. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of control systems and fundamental communication interfaces.
