Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement and maintain secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with development, DevOps and security teams to ensure robust infrastructure management, automation and responsibility.

  • Design, deploy and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure for production and development environments.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Manage AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFront, Route 53 etc).
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, availability and cost.
  • Implement security best practices, IAM policies, encryption and compliance controls.
  • Automate deployments, backups and scaling using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, scalable systems.
  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Our ideal candidate should have:

  • At least 3 years of experience working with AWS services in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS networking (VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, Route Tables).
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK).
  • Experience with Linux system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Good understanding of security best practices on AWS.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Our preferred candidates would also have:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to multi-account AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
  • Familiarity with cost optimization strategies on AWS.
