Software Developer Position

HCL Software operates its primary software business worldwide, developing, marketing, selling, and supporting over 20 product families in areas such as DevSecOps, Automation, Digital Solutions, Data Management, Marketing and Commerce, and Mainframes.

The company drives customer success through relentless innovation of its products. The Change and Configuration Management Team develops comprehensive software configuration management and change management capabilities.

The team facilitates sophisticated version control, workspace management, parallel development support, build auditing, and DevOps pipeline integrations to improve productivity. Members include architects, software developers, test automation engineers, release engineering, technical writers, and UX designers.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Outstanding problem-solving capabilities, proficiency in C/C++, and ability to perform C/C++ runtime debugging are essential.

Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows system APIs (C) for networking, files, and process management is required. Data Structures and Algorithms knowledge, as well as networking concepts and SMB/CIFS, NFS, and DNS network protocols, are necessary.

Bonus points for hands-on experience administering either UNIX/Linux or Windows. Ability to work independently and within an Agile environment is crucial.

Responsibilities include designing and developing new product features using Agile methodologies, investigating and resolving issues, documenting design alternatives, and providing information to various teams.
