Job Title: Associate

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Associate. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in tax advisory and a passion for complex problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) tax advisory on complex issues, including merger, demerger, spin-offs, business transfers etc.
  • Preparation and review of transaction documentation
  • Conducting direct tax due diligence
  • International tax advisory with a focus on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS), Multilateral Instrument (MLI), General Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR), Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA), domestic tax laws and FEMA/regulatory issues.
  • Inbound and outbound structuring
  • Treaty interpretations
  • Research on income-tax issues, including preparation of Case for Opinions for briefing senior counsels on complex direct tax matters
  • Deliverables in the form of slide-deck, opinion, note and memo
  • Direct tax litigation assistance, including drafting submissions and briefing senior counsels
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
  • Excellent knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
