Job Title: Advanced Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Advanced Safety Specialist to lead Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) and safety concept development for advanced control systems.

This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with critical safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or ARP4761, and shaping the safety architecture of next-generation systems.

About the Role:
  • Leverage expertise in safety engineering to develop comprehensive safety plans and guidelines.
  • Lead hazard analysis and risk assessment efforts to identify potential safety hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on safety goals and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including safety reports and technical specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in safety engineering, preferably in automotive or industrial domains.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations.
  • Experience with HARA, FMEA, FTA, and safety lifecycle methods and processes.
  • Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion) and safety analysis tools (e.g Isograph, Medini).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Safety Engineer.
  • Experience with safety-critical embedded systems and control software.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards.
  • Exposure to ADAS, autonomous systems, or electrified powertrains.

Knowledge of safety case development and tool qualification.
