Network Infrastructure Specialist

Our organization is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and extensive experience with Cisco routers, switches, and other network equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implementation: Analyze and design enterprise networks and network equipment to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain knowledge of network vendor technologies and associated software, and administer Cisco network equipment to resolve complex issues.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum eight years of experience with Cisco routers/switches/routing protocols and other network equipment.
  • Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional certification required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Implementation Expertise: Experience implementing Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Center, SD-WAN, and SDN.
  • Cloud Computing: Experience with VMware, Docker, and/or AWS environments.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Networking Automation: Experience or knowledge of IaC and/or NaC tools.
  • Programming Skills: Experience or knowledge of Python and Ansible programming languages.
Other Requirements:
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure the network meets compliance standards, including PCI and HIPAA regulations.
  • On-Call Support: Provide on-call support to bring production systems to operational states.
  • Documentation and Communication: Develop and maintain network documentation and maintain relationships with key contacts outside of own area of expertise.
