Emerging Business Opportunities

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to spearhead the identification and development of emerging business opportunities within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Opportunity Identification & Analysis:
    • Conduct continuous research to identify emerging technologies, new business models, competitor moves, and untapped market spaces.
    • Analyze long-term trends, disruptions, and potential threats to our current business and develop insightful reports.
  • Market Validation & Feasibility Assessment:
    • Design and execute rigorous validation processes for new opportunity hypotheses using primary customer research, expert interviews, competitive analysis, and prototype testing.
    • Develop robust financial models and business cases to assess market size, potential ROI, and strategic value of new opportunities.
  • Strategic Incubation & Business Development:
    • Lead the initial incubation phase for validated opportunities, including defining initial product-market fit, building minimal viable products (MVPs) or prototypes, and running pilot programs with early customers.
    • Coordinate cross-functional resources to accelerate the incubation process.
  • Ecosystem Engagement:
    • Build and leverage a network of external contacts to serve as a radar for emerging innovation and potential partnership opportunities.
  • Strategic Communication:
    • Clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to senior leadership to inform strategic investment decisions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategy roles such as corporate strategy, venture capital, management consulting, product management, or business development within a technology context.
  • Proven experience in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.
  • Deep understanding of the IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers.
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling skills with experience building business cases from scratch.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to thrive in ambiguity developing structure around poorly defined problems.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
