Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) specialist to join our team.

About the Role

  • The EMI specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our electronic products comply with all relevant electromagnetic compatibility standards and regulations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze schematics and circuit board layouts to identify potential EMI issues and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and project managers to implement EMI protection schemes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct EMC testing and analysis on electronic products to assess electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility.
  • Develop and implement test plans and procedures for compliance testing, and analyze test results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams on EMI design principles, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in performance of EMI/EMC analyses and testing, including knowledge of automotive EMC/EMI test standards, requirements, test methods, and setup/performance of testing.
  • Experience in digital and analog circuit design and schematic capture.
  • Understanding of PCB layout processes and tools.
  • Proficiency with simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscillators, signal generators, and EMC chambers).
  • Knowledge of RF and EMC standards (FCC, CISPR-25, ECE-R10, AIS-004, IEC, EN).
  • Ability to manage and ensure traceability between product SW requirements and SW validation tests and test scripts (100% coverage required).
  • Proficiency in EMC documentation like test plans, procedures, reports, and certificates.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
