Emerging Business Opportunities Executive

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of emerging technologies, business models, and market trends in the IoT ecosystem. Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and strategic partnerships.

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to validate new opportunity hypotheses, utilizing primary customer research, expert interviews, competitive analysis, and prototype testing.

  • Lead the incubation phase for validated opportunities, defining initial product-market fit, building minimal viable products (MVPs) or prototypes, and running pilot programs with early customers.

  • Build and leverage a network of external contacts to serve as a radar for emerging innovation and potential partnership opportunities.

  • Clearly and persuasively communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to senior leadership to inform strategic investment decisions.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategy role such as corporate strategy, venture capital, management consulting, product management, or business development within a technology context.
  • Proven experience in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.
  • Deep understanding of the IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers.
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience building business cases from the ground up.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to thrive in ambiguity, developing structure around poorly defined problems.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
