Patent Specialist Role Overview

 

  • The primary responsibility of this position entails developing patent applications for inventions within the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) domain, managing prosecution projects, and creating provisional specifications.

 

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Patent Drafting: Develop comprehensive patent applications for ICT-related inventions.
  • Prosecution Projects: Oversee prosecution projects, including formulating response strategies for office actions and drafting responses to office actions.
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide in-depth training to team members on various technical areas and mentor team members and interns on assigned technology domains.
  • Process Knowledge: Apply process knowledge to produce consistent, high-quality results in assigned tasks.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize available tools to analyze and resolve complex problems.

 

  • Requirements:
  • Experience in drafting 50+ patent applications for US jurisdiction.
  • Strong understanding of ICT domain with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering/technology from a reputable institute.
  • At least 4 years of experience in patent drafting and/or prosecution, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in patent drafting for US jurisdiction.

  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools and technologies for patent drafting and prosecution.
