Data Analytics Specialist with Colgate-Palmolive Company

Colgate-Palmolive Company, a global leader in the consumer products industry, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our analytics team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and informing strategic decisions through data-driven insights.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in statistics, applied mathematics, or computer science, with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in building data models and driving insights. They will be responsible for conceptualizing and building predictive modeling, simulations, and optimization solutions to address business questions or use cases.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with developing statistical models, including regression, ridge regression, lasso, random forest, SVM, gradient boosting, logistic regression, K-Means Clustering, and Hierarchical Clustering. They should also be proficient in coding languages such as Python, R, SQL, PySpark, and SparkR, with knowledge of using GitHub and Airflow for coding and model executions.
Responsibilities- Lead analytics projects within the analytics continuum, conceptualizing and building predictive modeling, simulations, and optimization solutions to address business questions or use cases.
- Apply machine learning techniques to analytics algorithms to build inferential and predictive models allowing for scalable solutions to be deployed across the business.
- Conduct model validations and continuous improvement of the algorithms, capabilities, or solutions built.
- Drive insights from internal and external data for business needs.
- Assemble large, sophisticated data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements.
- Graduation/Masters in Statistics/Applied Mathematics/Computer Science.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in building data models and driving insights.
- Hands-on experience on developing statistical models.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, R, SQL, PySpark, and SparkR.
- Knowledge of using GitHub and Airflow for coding and model executions.
The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for executive-level roles.
