About the Role

At Moody's, we're seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team in Gurgaon, India. As a key member of our Global Tax Department, you'll play a critical role in managing the corporate tax, GST/VAT, WHT, and transfer pricing matters for several countries in the APAC Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently handle tax matters for APAC countries, ensuring accurate and timely filing of corporate tax, GST/VAT returns, and other statutory tax filings.
  • Manage tax audits, prepare/review documentation, and respond to audit queries, working closely with external consultants as needed.
  • Prepare and submit applications for Certificate of Residence (COR), Tax Treaty relief, and other tax-related documents.
  • Develop and review transfer pricing documentation, including CbCR workpapers.
  • Support the development of tax reporting frameworks for OECD Pillar 2 measures.
  • Provide tax advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, conducting research and analysis to identify tax optimization opportunities and risks.
  • Perform tax planning exercises to optimize tax positions, cash flow, and tax efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to address complex tax issues and resolve queries.
  • Work with other departments to integrate tax considerations into broader business processes and decisions.
Requirements
  • CA/CPA with 5-7 years of post-qualification tax experience, preferably with a major accounting firm or a large multinational company.
  • Working experience on tax matters of Australia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and China is preferable.
  • Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Thorough experience of extracting data from SAP.
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of technology tools like Blackline, Alteryx, Power BI, and Power Query is preferable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment, with good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytic skills, attention to details, and a proactive approach.
