Wind Energy Upgrade Specialist
Job Description:We are seeking a highly analytical and self-driven individual to join our team as a Wind Energy Upgrade Specialist. As a Sales Engineer Upgrades Loads, your primary objective is to simulate the site-specific benefit of our upgrade portfolio while verifying the structural integrity (mechanical loads) of installed wind turbines.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reassessing existing/planned wind farms using an internal tool chain to confirm the compatibility of certain upgrades and turbine-specific structural integrity
- Evaluating site-specific wind conditions (wind and site recheck), applying mechanical load mitigation strategies, running bucket approaches, assessing the possibility for lifetime extension, approval processes, and writing reports
- Supporting upgrades sales by creating benefit calculations, driving validation campaigns, and initiating the implementation of upgrades
- Collaborating with global service regions and after-sales colleagues to convince customers and their stakeholders, such as grid operators or authorities, to enable successful product sales
- Having a measurable impact on the business performance of the global Service business unit
- Building a large network within the company and industry to stay up-to-date on new technological developments
- Representing the team in strategic discussions and development decision meetings
You will work in a global and cross-functional team, serving as the interface between customers, various Service regions, and headquarters functions such as Engineering Load Department.
Required Skills and Qualifications:To excel in this role, you will require:
- Proven experience in wind energy upgrade sales or a related field
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Able to work independently and as part of a global team, with a strong commitment to achieving results-oriented goals
