Engineering Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to join our team.

  • About the Role: This is a leadership position that requires strong technical expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Leadership: Manage the mechanical and electrical design of transformers, prioritizing quality, quantity, and on-time deliverables while ensuring designs meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  2. Technical Expertise: Leverage extensive experience in designing pad-mounted, medium, and power transformers, including enclosure design, cable entry, and termination.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, project management, manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Mentorship: Potentially mentor engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the design team.
  5. Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex design-related issues that may arise during manufacturing, testing, or field operation.
  6. Analysis & Simulation: Conduct design calculations, VLN, Anderson, stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other relevant simulations to validate designs and predict performance.
  7. Prototyping & Testing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams during prototype development, testing, and validation phases.
  8. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, technical specifications, test procedures, and design reports.
  9. Metrics & Reporting: Define and monitor engineering metrics for design quality, throughput, and continuous improvement.
  10. Customer Interaction: Serve as an engineering liaison with key customers, supporting technical presentations, addressing design queries, and managing expectations.
  11. Cost and Risk Management: Balance design performance with cost optimization and manufacturability.
  12. Talent Acquisition: Participate in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new engineers.
  13. Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with national and international standards, safety regulations, and customer-specific requirements.
  14. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product performance, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve efficiency.
