Product Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to design and develop innovative products that enhance daily living.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and prototype wheelchair frames, drive modules, and ergonomic components using CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Conduct market research to understand consumer needs and trends, informing product development strategies.
  • Engineer lightweight, robust load-bearing structures, performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate their performance.
  • Integrate motors, batteries, and control systems with structural design, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Collaborate with vendors to achieve precision fabrication and quality delivery.
  • Test products for durability, safety, and compliance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Optimize materials and processes to reduce costs, weight, and environmental impact.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, changes, and manufacturing processes, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience in product development, preferably in mobility, automotive, or structural products.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping techniques.
  • Exposure to EV/mechatronic systems is an asset.
