About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned backend software engineer with expertise in Golang and experience in Ruby to collaborate on building and scaling high-performance systems. As a valued team member, you will contribute to architecture, development, and operations of critical services that power our platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Golang.
  • Ruby or Ruby on Rails experience is beneficial for system complexity and integration.
  • Contribute to the evolution of service-oriented/microservices backend architecture, emphasizing scalability and performance.
  • Develop clean, testable, and efficient code focusing on quality and computer science fundamentals.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and stakeholders to deliver impactful features and enhancements.
  • Improve performance, monitoring, and observability of backend services through continuous improvement.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning to drive innovation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues by analyzing root causes and implementing effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience in high-scale backend systems, preferably with distributed architectures.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang is required; Ruby or Ruby on Rails experience is an asset for complex system integration.
  • Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals – algorithms, data structures, and system design principles.
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying scalable systems, APIs, or backend platforms in a live environment.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable for smooth operation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment with a collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for creating high-quality software that meets business needs and customer expectations.
