About the Role

We are seeking a senior technology leader to manage and grow our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and scaling complex software systems using microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend, frontend, and full-stack engineers.
  • Define and maintain technical direction for microservices-based systems and event-driven architecture.
  • Guide engineers in building robust integrations with third-party platforms and internal services.
  • Ensure best practices in API-driven development and system interoperability.
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure across multiple environments, leveraging key services for distributed and scalable systems.
  • Manage data infrastructure with NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient high-performance queries and resilience at scale.
  • Partner with Product and Business stakeholders to align technical strategy with business goals.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years leading or managing engineering teams.
  • Strong technical foundation in Node.js, ReactJS, and API design.
  • Hands-on experience building and scaling microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with third-party integrations and e-commerce platforms such as Shopify or similar services.
  • Knowledge of working with NoSQL databases and distributed data systems.
  • Expertise with cloud environments (including container orchestration, serverless, and event-driven services).
  • Experience implementing engineering best practices in CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to nurture talent, improve processes, and build a culture of excellence.
