Clinical Coding Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Clinical Coding Specialist. The ideal candidate will have expertise in coding for Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB GYN), Emergency Medicine Physician Office (EM OP), and Surgery Denials. Strong knowledge of coding systems, including Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD), is essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coding for OB GYN procedures and services
- Reviewing and optimizing EM OP and Surgery Denials cases
- Developing and implementing coding strategies to improve revenue cycle efficiency
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely coding
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding guidelines
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
