Job Description:

An experienced Lead Design Engineer with a strong background in Material Handling Equipment is required to design, develop and implement efficient material handling systems for industrial facilities.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and selecting various types of conveyor systems, including belt conveyors, silos, hoppers, vibrating feeders, screens, dust extraction systems, trippers, belt feeders, belt weighers, magnetic separators, and bucket elevators.

They should also possess knowledge of reclaimer, stacker, barge loader, barge unloader, truck loading/unloading stations, crushers, pneumatic conveying systems, diverters, slide gate valves, lifting devices (hoist and EOT cranes), and software skills in conveyor belt design and 3D modeling.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing process flow diagrams, schemes, and layouts for material handling systems; preparing profile drawings, calculations, and general arrangement drawings for belt conveying systems; and preparing technical specifications for material handling equipment.

Additionally, they will be expected to prepare BOQ or BOM for conveying systems, concept notes, flow diagrams, conveyor design calculations, GA drawings, and detail fabrication drawings of technological structures.

The selected individual will also be involved in procurement engineering activities such as datasheet analysis, technical specification evaluation, bid analysis, offer evaluation, technical recommendations, and vendor document reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5-15 years of experience in design engineering
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IS/CEMA/ISO)
  • Software skills in Auto-Cad and MS-Office
