We are seeking a seasoned Buying & Merchandising professional to lead our Home Décor category. This role requires a driven individual with strong business acumen, an eye for design trends, and hands-on experience in inventory management, product sourcing, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute seasonal and category-wise buying plans for furniture, lighting, planters, and tableware.
- Analyze sales trends, inventory movement, and forecast demand for efficient stock planning.
- Maintain trackers for vendor management, payments, logistics, returns, and damages.
- Conduct trend and market research to curate relevant product assortments.
- Manage vendor development, negotiations, sampling, POs, and timely deliveries.
- Coordinate with stores and warehouses for stock audits, replenishment, and inventory flow.
- Collaborate with marketing and ecommerce teams on launches, campaigns, and product uploads.
- Support design and content teams with updated catalogues and visual assets.
Requirements:
- 4–6 years of experience in Buying & Merchandising (preferably in home décor, furniture, or lifestyle retail).
- Proficiency in Excel and inventory/merchandising systems (SAP, ERP, Wondersoft, etc.).
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with B2C, experiential, or lifestyle retail formats preferred.
