Design Engineer for Passenger Interiors

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team in passenger interiors engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing interior parts of trains, taking into account various factors such as weight, acoustics, eco-design, aerodynamics, and aeraulics.
Key Responsibilities- Design and draw interior parts of trains using CATIA V5 and DMA, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Develop and implement CoE Interior development procedures, catalogue, and standard solutions on projects.
- Ongoing design optimisation to reach recurring and non-recurring costs targets, ensuring committed planning.
- Collaborate with external engineering sub-contractors and site CAD engineers.
- Ensure digital mock-up consistency, checking for interferences, equipment localisation, volume, interfaces, and more.
- Prepare design review elements with Lead Engineer support.
- Calculate stack-up analysis.
- Maintain detailed BoM consistency.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- An engineer educational background.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical part design.
You should also possess excellent skills in CATIA V5 and better knowledge of DMA, as well as English language proficiency.
